How many types of shipping containers are there?
There are around 20 types of shipping containers in widespread use. The main types are: standard dry, High Cube, refrigerated (reefer), open top, flat rack, tank, ventilated, insulated, and double-door. Sizes range from 8ft to 53ft. Specialist versions include offshore, military, and conversion-ready containers for office or living use.
