What are the benefits of flat rack containers?
A flat rack container has no sides or roof, and its ends can often be folded down flat. Available in 20ft and 40 sizes, flat racks are used to transport large, bulky, or unusually shaped goods on cargo ships when they can’t be loaded into a standard container. Flat racks with the ends raised and locked into position can also be stacked.
Did you know?
The biggest benefit is flexibility. A flat rack can carry cargo that is too wide, too tall or shaped too awkwardly for a standard container, while still fitting into established transport systems. Related questions
