To move a shipping container, you need a flatbed truck with crane gear (Hiab) or a tilt truck. A 20ft container weighs over 2 tonnes empty. Self-collection is possible if you own the right equipment but most users hire a delivery service.

Moving an empty container can sometimes be harder than moving a loaded one. A light container is more affected by strong winds during lifting and transport.
